| Advanced Burglar Alarm Training | The Advanced Burglar Alarm Training (ABAT) course sets the highest standard for security industry training. This course goes in-depth into wiring speakers, power supplies and planning a sensor strategy. ABAT is the next level of training for the security industry professional.
The ABAT course is based on the two-day instructor-led course taught through the National Training School. This course comprises one half of the NTS Level 2 Certification course requirements. If you would like to obtain NTS Level 2 Certification you will need to be a Level 1 Certified Technician, have completed and passed the FAIM course and examination, as well as taken and passed the proctored ABAT examination. Students who pass the online training are allowed to take the course exam without attending the live classroom training. Once your registration has been processed you will receive a training manual via ground service delivery. Your manual will arrive within 7-10 business days. If you do not receive your manual within that time please contact NTS at 866.636.1687 or nts@alarm.org.
